Patrick Aebischer
Professor
Aebischer is an MD by training and is presently Professor of
Neurosciences and President at the Swiss Federal Institute of
Technology in Lausanne. He is an internationally recognized
leader in the area of gene therapy for neurodegenerative diseases.
He has conducted gene therapy clinical trials for various neurological
diseases and is currently focusing his interest in the application
of lentiviral vectors for neurodegenerative diseases, including
Parkinson’s, Huntington's, and motor neuron
diseases. He advises Oxford BioMedica on the utilisation of
EIAV vectors for nervous system application.
