David J Waxman
Professor
Waxman is Professor of Cell and Molecular Biology at Boston
University and Professor of Medicine at Boston University, School
of Medicine. He is a leading authority on cytochrome P450 enzymes
and genes, and on their role in metabolism leading to bioactivation
of anti-cancer drugs. He has made major contributions to the
development of P450–based prodrug activation strategies
for cancer gene therapy, and he is working with Oxford BioMedica
to carry these P450-based technologies through to the clinic.
