Our in-house capabilities span research, clinical development, regulatory affairs and manufacturing. At the end of 2008, our staff numbered 76, mainly based in laboratories and offices in Oxford. We also have a wholly owned subsidiary, BioMedica Inc, based in San Diego, USA.

Current vacancies:
Oxford BioMedica develops gene-based medicines for the treatment of cancer, neurodegenerative and ocular diseases. A number of products are being tested in clinical trials including a cancer vaccine and a gene therapy for Parkinson’s disease.
Scientist (Clinical Analysis) Job Ref: OB10-01
As a member of our Clinical Analysis team, you will perform and develop assays to assess the responses of patients following treatment with Oxford BioMedica’s therapeutic products (e.g TroVax, RetinoStat etc). Duties will include: monitoring of immune responses in clinical trials; implement and validate clinical trial assays; write analytical plans and reports and undertake ongoing GLP compliance duties.
Whilst ideal candidates will have experience within a similar role, Oxford BioMedica provides training and encourages our staff to participate in external, scientific and commercial meetings.

Quality Assurance Officer Ref: OB10-02
You will undertake a variety of Quality Assurance based duties including: maintaining the Deviation and Non-compliance management system, co-ordinating CAPA follow up for all OBM products; tracking all GXP related change control requests; interacting on QA matters both internally with project, clinical and regulatory teams and externally with GMP contractors involved in the manufacture, testing and distribution of IMPs; coordinating close-out of supplier audit findings; maintenance of documentation to facilitate QP batch release inclcluding Product Specification Files; tracking of Clinical Trial Materials (CTM) distribution and disposition; planning of ongoing and prospective CTM supply with internal project and clinical teams; plus supporting the in-house GMP training programme .
