Corporate strategy
There are five core themes to our strategy and our priorities for each of these strategic elements reflect the status of our development programmes and prevailing market conditions.
1. Focused development
In the current environment, it is important to preserve our financial strength, while also advancing our lead development programmes. Our strategy is to maintain sufficient funding to reach potentially key development milestones and to provide flexibility in collaboration discussions.
2. Maximise value
In addition to in-house development, we aim to exploit the full potential of our technologies through collaborations and licensing. In doing so, we will seek to retain a financial interest in the successful development and commercialisation of products that utilise our technologies.

3. Manage risk
Collaborations and partnerships are core to our overall strategy for risk management. For certain specialist products, we aim to retain commercialisation rights in specific territories and establish our own sales force.
4. Accelerate profitability
Our collaborative strategy aims to accelerate the Company’s sustainable profitability through the successful development and commercialisation of new therapies. In addition to organic growth, we remain alert to external opportunities for strategic and well-conceived corporate activity as a means to accelerate profitability.
5. Effective management
The successful commercialisation of good science requires dynamic management with an appropriate balance of skills and creativity. Our management team has experience in managing flexible organisational structures, enabling us to respond rapidly to market conditions and events.
