ANNOUNCES UPDATE ON BOARD CHANGES
Oxford, UK - 01 July
2008: Oxford BioMedica (LSE: OXB), a leading gene therapy company, announces today that changes to its Board of Directors, which were announced on 15 April 2008, have become effective. The Company also announces today the promotion of Nick Woolf to Chief Business Officer, effective immediately. These changes reflect the Company's stage of growth and are aligned with its strategic focus on clinical development and commercialisation of its lead drug candidates.
Nick Woolf, Oxford BioMedica's Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, is appointed to the newly created position of Chief Business Officer. In this role, Nick will manage the Company's business activities, including partnering, strategic transactions, capital markets and investor relations. He joined Oxford BioMedica in 2002 and became an Executive Director in 2005. Prior to Oxford BioMedica, Nick was Director and Head of European Biotechnology Research at ABN AMRO and was previously at Robertson Stephens, Nomura and SBC Warburg.
In relation to Stuart Naylor's appointment to the Board, as per the announcement dated 15 April 2008, there are no further details requiring disclosure under Paragraph 9.6.13 R of the Financial Services Authority Listing Rules.

BioMedica (LSE: OXB) is a biopharmaceutical company specialising in cancer
immunotherapy and gene-based therapies. The Company was established in 1995, as
a spin-out from Oxford University, and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

gene delivery technologies, which are based on highly engineered viral systems.
Oxford BioMedica also has in-house clinical, regulatory and manufacturing
know-how. The lead product candidate is TroVax®, a therapeutic vaccine for
multiple solid cancers, which is licensed to sanofi-aventis for global

broadest patent estates in the field. The Company has a staff of approximately
85. Oxford BioMedica has collaborations with sanofi-aventis, Wyeth,
Sigma-Aldrich, MolMed and Virxsys. Technology licensees include Biogen Idec,
Merck & Co, GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer.
