Oxford Biomedica: Inclusion in the techMARK Index of the
London Stock Exchange
Follows successful completion of £35.5 million fundraising
and promotion to the Official List
Oxford,
UK - 24th April 2001: Oxford BioMedica plc, the gene-based
therapeutics company, is pleased to announce that with effect
from today, 24th April 2001, the Company's shares will be
included as a component of the techMARK index of the London
Stock Exchange. This follows its recent promotion to the Official
List of the London Stock Exchange and the successful raising
of £35.5 million (before expenses) to fund its continued development
including expansion into the United States.
Commenting
on the announcement, Professor Alan Kingsman, Chief Executive,
said:
"The promotion onto the Full List and the techMARK index
jointly represent a very significant step for Oxford BioMedica.
It is the culmination of a highly successful fundraising in
the face of very difficult market conditions. We have attracted
